Main characters

Shilo Wallace

Shilo Wallace (Alexa Vega) is a 17-year-old girl confined to her room due to the alleged blood disorder she inherited from her mother. She is the film's primary protagonist who dreams of existing in the world outside of her bedroom, which she considers her prison. While she initially strives to obey her father's rules about never going outside, later in the story, she becomes more and more assertive, attempting to earn her independence.

Rotti Largo

Rotti Largo (Paul Sorvino) is the primary antagonist; the ailing GeneCo president, looking for a worthy heir. He sees his own children, Luigi, Pavi, and Amber (formerly Carmela/Heather), as "vultures" and "ingrates", and is bitter towards Nathan for stealing Marni from him. He is the one who poisoned Marni, in rage. In the end, his terminal illness fails him, causing him to die on-stage at the Genetic Opera.

Nathan Wallace

Nathan Wallace (Anthony Stewart Head) is Shilo's father and a widower, having lost his wife Marni, a death which he blames himself for. He doubles as the head Repo Man. He often laments his late night duties, but a seeming multiple personality tends to take him over, leaving him a vicious killing machine as opposed to the kind hearted, torn father. When Shilo discovers his identity, he goes on a rampage to kill Rotti, who reveals to Shilo her father's infidelity; he has been adding poison to her medication, not allowing her to see the world. He is fatally shot by Rotti and left to die, with Shilo at his side.

Magdalene Defoe/Blind Mag

Magdalene Defoe/Blind Mag (Sarah Brightman) was born blind, but was given the ability to see by GeneCo at the price of having to sing for and publicise GeneCo permanently. She is marked for repossession and is set to deliver her final performance for the company. Her fate is met when she sings Chromaggia and she removes her own eyes rather than have GeneCo take them. Rotti cuts the rope holding her up, causing her to fall and be impaled on the sharp fence below. She is Shilo's godmother and was best friends with Marni.

Carmela Largo/Amber Sweet

Carmela Largo/Amber Sweet (Paris Hilton) is Rotti's surgery- and Zydrate-addicted daughter, Luigi and Pavi's younger sister, and Mag's rival. She obtains Zydrate illegally from GraveRobber, presumably in exchange for sex. She changed her last name from Largo to Sweet, as she "needed a stage name." At the Genetic Opera, a surgery botches and her face falls off on-stage. In the end, she takes over GeneCo.

Luigi Largo

Luigi Largo (Bill Moseley) is Rotti's eldest son and older brother to Pavi and Amber, an abusive homicidal psychopath. He wields a knife at all times and is usually wearing an ascot. He will stab someone for something as little as getting his shirt messy or getting him the wrong coffee. He has a habit of ripping open his shirt, revealing a large surgical scar, every time he states he will take over GeneCo. In the end, he becomes his sister's side-man as Amber takes over GeneCo; he also kills the top three bidders for his sister's fallen face.

Paviche "Pavi" Largo

Paviche "Pavi" Largo (Ogre) is Rotti's youngest son and middle child, brother to Luigi and Amber, womanizing, narcissistic, vacuous, and effeminate. He wears the skinned face of a woman as a mask over his own, which is heavily scarred. Due to the way his face is attached, he is able to change faces on a whim. He has an Italian accent (to conceal his speech impediment, according to Zdunich) and is almost always surrounded by women, usually Genterns, the employees of GeneCo who usually give Pavi his face surgeries. In the end, he purchases Amber's fallen face which he wears with pride.

GraveRobber

GraveRobber (Terrance Zdunich) is a Zydrate peddler, getting the insoluble chemical from the brains from dead bodies, with connections to Amber, sexually and as a dealer. He also seems to be Shiloh's first and only friend and explains to her things like Zydrate and Mag's debt with GeneCo. Mysterious and darkly charismatic, he acts as the narrator of the post-apocalyptic world.

Other characters

Marni Wallace

Marni Wallace (Sarah Power, with Nancy Long singing) is Shilo's deceased mother, Nathan's late wife, and Mag's best friend. She was fatally poisoned by an enraged Rotti, who felt that Nathan stole her from him. She can be seen throughout the film in holographic portraits and her body is preserved in the house by Nathan.

Single Mother (Jake Reardon) is a member in the audience of the Genetic Opera. She was scheduled for a kidney transplant and came out with full-body surgery, enticing her to become a model for GeneCo.
